Veda’i is one of the poets classical period. He was born in 1790 in Mukus which is related to Van at present and died in 1850s. Veda’i has clerked near two amirs who work as an administrator in Mukus. The first of these amirs is sheikhy Beg and the second person is Mahmud khan who has substituted for him after his death. Since he was a scholar clerk and poet, , as well as Kurdish, he knew Persian, Arabic and Turkish as well. He has written a Divan consisted of kurdish and Persian poems in the period of his clerk. There are 37 Kurdish and 69 Persian poems in Veda’i’s Divan. Veda’i has used a simple style in his poems. He has also used narrative and debate methods in some of his poems. He has mostly discussed love topics in his poems. This is followed by religious topics. Religious terms and images have been used in one of these two context. This classical period which is revealed recently will be put emphasis on the religious terms and imageries in his Divan because of to be understood better of poet.
