Gravestones give to Turkish-Islamic Art the traces of beliefs and traditions, prayer and literary says about death, ornamental an iconographic meanings, stonework and techniques. Detection the artisans is another feature of gravestones. Artisan issue is not discussed adequately in art history studies. There are some reasons for this situation. First, the signatures of artisans are hidden in a small place on the gravestones and the second one is the lack of care of researchers and inability of understanding of the epigraphic records. Both the detecting the signatures of artisans on the artworks which are very rare and researching their biographies are important. That’s why the era that lived the artisan and documents which belong to that era historical and the literal works also to be considered.
