In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale of stem cell perception to determine teacher candidates ' perceptions about the subject. In the scope of the study, data on the scale applied to biology teacher candidates were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 package program. For validating factor analysis, LISREL 9 package program was used. The structure validity of the scale was determined by confirmatory factor analysis after clarifying factor analysis. The Cronbach alpha value of the scale prepared in 5 likert type was calculated as 864 and the KMO value as 852. The literature on the subject has been examined and a 35-item substance pool has been created for the scale. After the necessary corrections were made as a result of expert feedback made in stages, the scale form containing 30 items was revealed. As a result of the pilot study, the material load was reduced to 22 items by removing 8 items that were less than 0.30 from the scale. As a result of the analysis of the scale applied to 152 teacher candidates, the final shape of the scale form was reduced to 19 items. As a result of the factor analysis, it was concluded that the scale items were collected under two factors. According to the contents of the substances, the factors are named as “F1: the definition and general properties of Stem Cells” and “F2: the use of stem cells in treatment”. The scale developed describes 37.4% of the total variance. It can be said that the developed scale is a valid and reliable scale in determining teacher candidates’ perceptions about stem cell issue.
