There is no doubt that one of the most important events the Ottomans experienced in 17th century is the instigation which was recorded in history as Kad?zadelis-Sivasis Struggle. In this period, KatipÇelebi also lived in, Muslim clergymen divided into two groups and began to discuss religiously trivial issues and therefore to accuse and have a spite against each other. Madrasah part of these discussions started with Kâd?zâde Mehmed Efendi and he attracted some followers. Therefore, these followers were named as Kad?zadelis. On the other hand, AbdulmecidSivasi objected to the remarks of Kad?zade, who accuses the dervish lodges and sufis, and directed harsh criticism against such accusations. People supporting this person who represents the dervish lodges and sufis and is known as Sivasi Sheikh were named as Sivasis. This paper investigates the attitude of Çelebi, his approach to the subject and issues under discussion.
