The aim of this study is to specify the institution in which foreigners will be taught Turkish in 209 universities that are in the list of Turkish Council of High Education and to identify the name of the course book for this teaching process. Based on the statistical data gathered between 05.03.2018 and 22.06.2018, it is confirmed that there are a total of 209 universities in the list of Turkish Council of High Education in Turkey. Research data has been gathered by contacting to 209 universities individually via phone call and e-mail. Universities that are in the list of Turkish Republic of Norther Cyprus are not included. This study uses ‘qualitative research method.’ This study prefers ‘instant screeing model’ which is one of the qualitative research patterns. 209 universities that provide academic education under the roof of Turkish Council of High Education in 2017-2018 Academic Year Spring Period constitute the universe of this study. The ‘whole’ universe is covered in the sample of the study. Study data has been analyzed by ‘calculation and filter application’ available in Microsoft Excel. Study data is examined according to ‘deduction approach.’ The findings section of the study primarily includes all data gathered from 209 universities and secondly examines them in 3 different categories including ‘state,’ ‘foundation’ and ‘foundation vocational high school.’ According to the results of the study, foreign students receive Turkish courses in a total of ‘125 universities’ (89 state and 36 foundation universities) out of these 209 universities. A total of 72 universities, 63 of which are state and 9 of which are foundation universities provide Turkish courses to foreigners under ‘TÖMER.’ The study identified ‘the most preferred’ course book in teaching Turkish language to foreigners both in state and foundation universities in Turkey. According to this identification, 33 out of 89 state universities prefer ‘Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Learning Set’ to teach Turkish language to foreigners. Again, 13 out of 36 foundation universities that teach Turkish language to foreigners prefer ‘Istanbul, Turkish Learning Set for Foreigners.
