Technological developments that have led to the change of mass media have also radically changed our communication methods. The most distinctive difference between the new communication media and the conventional media is that it frees the concept of communication via interactivity from unidirectionality and allows the individuals to explain their views and ideas. As an alternative to the unidirectional communication of conventional media, the news content on the Internet has created an opportunity for individuals to set up their agendas by supporting bi directional communication and enabling individuals to personalize their methods of receiving news with various applications. In this study, it is aimed to find out which methods Internet users are using to reach the news content in the virtual medium and a research has been carried out to reach this goal. In the research, one of the quantitative research methods, the survey method is used. The research population consists of individuals who read news via the Internet and the sampling constitutes 760 Internet users selected through judgemental sampling. According to the results of the analysis of research data, a significant number of users use personal news applications via the Internet. However, the methods used by the participants to reach the news differ on the basis of their demographic characteristics.
