The purpose of the study is to develop the scale, determining prospective teachers’ resistance behaviours towards research. For this reason the draft form with 76 items was applied on 1105 prospective teachers being educated at Education Faculty at a Public University in mediterranean region during 2013-2014 academic year. Exploratory factor analysis studies based on Varimax rotation revealed the scale had a structure with single factor and 7 components called as obstruction, unwilling adaptation, deception, accuse of teacher, making suggestion, communicating directly and disregard. Cronbach Alpha reliability parameter of whole scale was found as .942 and test re-test reliability parameter was calculated as .494 (p<.05). Seven components all together explained 58,008% of the variance. According to confirmatory factor analysis’ results, GFI (.87), IFI (.98), NFI (.97), NNFI (.98), RMSEA (.057), CFI (.98), AGFI .(86) as goodness fit indices were calculated and the findings indicated the model was fit to observed structure. The findings of the analysis carried out to determine whether any differentiation arose on the prospective teachers’ resistance behaviours according to department, research frequency, research competency and attitude towards research, etc. were accepted as the proof of scale’s validity. The findings of reliability studies, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis studies revealed the scale was reliable and valid data collection tool to determine the prospective teachers’ resistance behaviours towards research.
