With the renewed Math education program in 2005, the Mathematics Practices Course, which is an elective course, was put into practice with the purposes of supporting the Math teaching, increasing Math success while endearing it as a course in 2012-2013 school years. This research is a descriptive study to investigate the problems which arise from factors such as teacher, student, parents and school board. The sample of the research is made up of the middle schools which were chosen from among the middle schools in Kayseri in 2015 - 2016 school year affiliated to the Ministry of Education with the stratified sampling model. The research was conducted on a total of 17 mathematics teachers who were selected from each strata through simple random sampling. In the research, the teachers were administered an interview form in order for the problems related to the middle school mathematics practices course to be evaluated by the teachers' views. The interview form consists of 5 questions related to the problem. The interview form was prepared by the researcher and its validity and reliability were ensured by expert opinions. The research is a qualitative study and the data obtained from the participants was analyzed through descriptive analysis. The teachers who were asked about their opinions emphasized that the course is enjoyable and that it favorably affects the students' attitudes when teachers act in accordance with the aims of the curriculum. They stated that there is a great interest in the course in the selection process but that they find it unfavorable to do evaluation by grades. Also, the teachers stated that overcrowded classes made it difficult to teach an applied course.
