The purpose of this article is to explore the relationship between authenticity and meaning in life levels of the university students and the mediating role of sense of purpose on the relation between authenticity and meaning in life. In this study, through using the Authenticity Scale, Meaning in Life Scale and Sense of Purpose Scale, the data has been collected from 400 university students who are studying in the Faculty of Education at Marmara University. In the study, the relational survey method for determining relations between variables and the structural equation models for examining the mediating role have been used. The data of the study has been analyzed using SPSS 21.0 VE AMOS 20.0 programs. As a result of the study, it has been found that there are positive correlations between authenticity, meaning in life and sense of purpose level of university students and the sense of purpose has a mediating role in this relation. The findings have been discussed in the light of literature.
