The objective of the research is to analyze the effects of credit card usage on welfare enhancement. As known, the usage of credit card has been increasing gradually; what’s more, it has converted into “addiction”. According to the Second Term data revealed by Bankalararas? Kart Merkezi (Center for Interbank Card) in Turkey, that include the period of April, May, and June in 2015, the number of total credit card users has increased to 57.803.261. On the other hand, usable income and credit card shopping amount on the ratio of ultimate private consumption has been rising in Turkey as well. In this context, in the study, it is assumed that there is a close relationship between the concept of welfare that comes forth with its peculiarity encompassing individuals’ happiness, peace, compatibility of social and economic life; in short; the comfort of humans with the usage of credit card. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, literature review that includes the conceptual framework of credit card welfare. The second part focuses on the dataset and the method of the study. As for the last part, research findings were given. As a result of the Pearson Correlation Analysis, close relationship was ascertained between credit card usage and welfare(r=0,959; p<0,05); and also between legal loans and welfare (r=0,939;p<0,05). The effects of credit card usage on welfare, so to say households’ monthly consumption, and its variance value was ascertained (F=558144,483; 49348,317=. 33,931; p<0,05). In spite of the enhancement in the loans that are taken legal proceedings against, an increase in the number of credit cards has affected welfare in a positive and meaningful way (F=600301,204;7191,596=. 83,473; p<0,05).
