The main purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of employment types (Public-Private) on the relationship between job satisfaction and intent to quit. The population of the study includes the private security officers working in ?stanbul. Random sampling is conducted in the study. As a result of questionnaires, 6249 data were found analyzable. In this study, the job satisfaction scale developed by Weiss et al. (1967) and the intent to quit scale developed by Scott et al. (1999) was used. According to the results of the study, it was revealed that there is an inverse relationship between job satisfaction and intent to quit and that the employment types do not have any effect on this relation. In the study, it was also revealed that the employment types have an effect on the private security officers’ job satisfaction and intent to quit levels, but the employment places (Self-employment-Subcontracting) do not have any effect on these behaviors.
