Abstract

Author(s): Bilal ÇANKIR

Work engagement is a positive state of mind giving satisfaction together with vigor, dedication and absorption. Moreover, organizational citizenship behavior is defined as individual behavior that is discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system, and that in the aggregate promotes the effective functioning of the organization. In this study, work engagement affects organizational citizenship behavior positively. This model is tested with the data collected from academicians of a state university at Turkey.
