In this research, it is aimed to determine the effects of material-based educational games to Turkish grammar success of 7th grade students (f=38) working outside, and their attitudes towards Turkish courses. Experimental-design within pre-test, post-test was adopted in this research. The samples were divided into two groups according their success such as experimental (f=20) and conventional (f=18) group based on their pre-test scores. The courses in experimental groups were carried out by material based educational games, and those in conventional group were done by ordinary courses. In order to determine their success in terms of “noun” subject, a reliable and valid grammar success test was applied to them as pre- and post-tests. In addition, in order for determining their attitude towards the courses harmonized with material based educational games, an attitude scale was applied before and after the courses in experimental and conventional groups. The activities related to “noun” subject were practiced by the researcher in two groups in two hours per week, and in totally four weeks as a whole. As a conclusion, the results of activities which were carried out in experimental groups are more robust than those of teacher-centered education with regard to grammar success of students and also the attitudes of students towards the courses.
