Domestic violence is a traumatic life event that effects all life areas of abused people. Today, the frequency of domestic violence is increasing. Preventive health services are inadequate so studies on rehabilitation health services mainly continue in Turkey. According to the literature resilience increases the struggle with the problems experienced after the trauma and adaptation to the new life. In this review literature was investigated in accordance with the question “What is the place of resilience in reducing the negative consequences of domestic violence?”. In this review partner violence and domestic violence are explored together as the literature.
