THE EVALUATION OF COASTS OF THE GULF OF IZMIT IN TERMS OF RISKS TO BE CAUSED BY THE CHANGES OF SHORELINE

The coastal area have under the influence of many factors, physical and human past to the present. The coastal area of land and marine environments in the field of interaction is always in flux due to geographical factors. The change to shoreline that changes occurring in the coastal areas. Change that might occur, it may cause some problems in coastal areas. One of these problems are caused by the change of the shoreline, coastal problems. The Gulf of Izmit of the coast ise length of 129 km, intense exposure to the use of the coastal area, and many other geographical element undergoes changes in the coastline with the effect of the problems that arise along the coast. In this study, changes in the shoreline of causes, effects, solutions to problems posed problems and what will be examined in the coast of the Gulf of Izmit.
