In this study, it is aimed to examine pre-service teachers' learning approaches in terms of some variables. This research, which is aimed to reveal a situation as it is, is a descriptive study in general screening type. The universe of the research is 2976 prospective teachers who studied at the Faculty of Education in Amasya University. Proportional stratified sampling method was used to select the sample of the study and data were collected from n = 348 prospective teachers. A personal information form prepared by the researchers and the "Learning Approach Scale" developed by Ekinci (2008) were used as a data collection tool in order to determine the information regarding the demographic characteristics of pre-service teachers. When the learning approaches of pre-service teachers were examined, they preferred the most in-depth learning approach and then strategic learning approach and least superficial learning approach respectively. While there were significant differences in the learning approaches of pre-service teachers regarding gender, high school type of graduation, the major teaching department of their education, perception of success, and absenteeism preferences related to the courses, no significant difference was found in the grade level of education variable.
