The National Front was shaped by the legacy of the extreme right-wing, racist, populist, authoritarian, monarchist and colonialist movements that could not absorb the social and economic consequences of France’s defeat in the wars of independence in the ex-colonies after the Second World War. The organizations such as the Young Nation (Jeune Nation), the OAS (Organization Armée Secrète), the New Order (Nouvel Ordre) the GRECE (Groupement de Recherche et d'Etudes pour la Civilisation Européenne-European Research and Working Group for Civilization) are some important of these movements. The historical heritage, which is the source of these movements, is based on a long history. The Boulangist Movement in 19thcentury and the Poujadist Movement in the mid-20th century have a serious impact on the National Front, now called the National Rally (Ressemblement National-RN). This study analyses the effects of GRECE, Boulanjist and Poujadist movements on the National Front.
