The purpose of this study is to determine at what level classroom teaching special qualifications with pre-service education of classroom teacher candidates gained. This study is a kind of descriptive research. The population of study includes prospective teachers (n = 165) who graduated from Department of Classroom Teaching, College of Education, Amasya University in 2012-2013 academic year. Research was conducted on the entire population and 143 of them participated in the study on a voluntary basis. The questionnaire -which is named "Special Area Qualifications of Classroom Teaching” and created by the Ministry of National Education- was used to collect data for this study. The arithmetic average level of prospective teachers in the study is found as 3.43 (x = 3.43) to be “quite effective” on the proficiency of all the special area. The 35 items of questionnaire has been also examined and the participants accumulated that their undergraduate education matches up with the expected qualification in 12 items on “moderately effective level” and in 23 items on “highly effective level”. The findings of this study show that pre-service education of teachers is effective to acquire for their proficiency in their teaching career
