In this article the activities of the Free Republican Party in Mugla which was founded on 12th August 1930 and closed on 20th November 1930 and the condition of the Republican People’s Party has been argued out.
In the first part of the study, when was the Party established in Central Mugla and nearby districts, who were the founders, the jobs and the statues of the founders and the difficulties that took part at start-up period has been taken in hand.
In the second part, about which topics did the people of Mugla had grievance from Republican People’s Party and why and how did they show interest to Free Republican Party has been examined in detail.
In the third part, by taking in hand the 1930 Municipal Elections, the events that took place before elections, at the time of the elections and after the elections has been explained in detail by using archives documents.
In the final part, what kind of studies did Republican People’s Party has made after the elections to get it together and to reorganize in Central Mugla and nearby districts has been expressed by submitting reports.
