The Korean War was the first close combat between the USA and the USSR, which were the two superpowers after WW II. The war started when the North Korean soldiers attacked the South Korea on the 25th of June, 1950. Then the UN felt the necessity to intervene in the war in response. As Turkish Republic was a member of the UN and had a intention to join NATO, she involved in the war by supplying soldiers to the Korean War. Many districts of the Anatolia deployed soldiers to Korea. Bilecik was one of the districts deploying soldiers. 113 soldiers from Bilecik and nearby fought in Korea. This article handles the soldiers deployed to Korea from Bilecik, Bozüyük, Sö?üt, Osmaneli, Pazaryeri, Yenipazar, Gölpazar? and ?nhisar.
