It has been seen that the way of communication in today's society has shifted from traditional media tools to social media platforms. Social networkplay an important role in developing communication technologies. The Internet, social networks, today's life itself, has become a real place in society. This change brings with it a number of problems regarding privacy and confidentiality of private life. The concept of privacy is an issue, have been discussed and debated from the past to the present. As a result of increasing extent and diversification of mass media, meanings attributed to privacy has been changing quickly. Privacy is a term states of being confidential, a person's unique information , nonpublic matters which are not wish to be heard or known. Nowadays, behaviours that cannot be displayed into society and topics cannot be talked face to face has become easily expressed on the internet. In the virtual world where there is no face-to-face communication, conversations and exchanges exceed privacy limits because individuals are not concerned about recognition and recognition. In this context, the effects of internet and social media usage on the perception of privacy and the factors affecting the change of privacy perception are theoretically addressed. The picture of the transformation of individuals in their understanding of privacy will be tried to be revealed.
