With the existence of people, many foods or drinks that have survived to the present day have represented different cultures and created the unique culinary cultures of societies. A food or drink served at today's tables has taken its place by serving at tables that bring people together for various reasons hundreds or thousands of years ago. The Sumerians, who invented writing in Mesopotamia and accepted as the first civilization, created their own culture and unique culinary cultures under the geographical conditions of their region. The aim of this study is to reflect the relationship between Sumerian cuisine and contemporary Turkish cuisine in the context of the findings obtained from archaeological excavations and / or cuneiform documents by the researchers about the food and beverage culture of Sumerians. For this purpose, literature review of qualitative research methods and studies on Turkish cuisine were evaluated and expressed. Mesopotamia and Turkish cuisine in relation to the existing studies in the literature, but according to the archaeological findings obtained and cuneiform document between the Sumerian cuisine and Turkish cuisine and / or may be expressed in a study that expresses the existence of the Sumerians whether it was born or influenced by geography reflects the importance of the subject.
