This research aims to examine the relation between altruism and positive perception and social comparison in preservice teachers. The research group comprises 400 young (including 263 female, 137 male ) study at various departments of Education Faculty, ?nönü University. In this study, “ Altruism Scale”, “Positive Perception Scale”,“Social Comparison Scale” and “Personal Information Form” developed by researchers were utilized as data collection tool. Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated on the data obtained from the applications and regression analysis was performed. Findings from the research showed that there is a significant positive correlation between altruism and positive perception, and that altruism explained about 14 % of the variance related to positive perception. In this research also found a moderately positively meaningful relationship between altruism and social comparison (self-assessment). It is seen that altruism predicts social comparison at a meaningful level and altruism explains 9 % of the variance of social comparison. According to the results obtained from the research, it has been discussed in the context of researches and applications which can be made in the future, which will contribute to the altruism, positive perception and social comparison of the teacher candidates in the faculties of education
