Abstract

Author(s): Ä°hsan ARSLAN

Beginning from the 10th century, joining of Turkish to Islam in masses and gaining their independence by establishing their states, came true in a period in which the Abbasid state lacks in military, political, economical and social areas, central authority weakens and the Islam-state is about to collapse. The change in the first Turkish-Islam states which accepted the domination of Abbasid caliphs, was not actual, indeed it had a symbolic character. The rulers who ascended to the throne were sent khilat, crown, flag, prose, oath and nicknames which defines the approval of the kingdom by the caliph as a condition of constitutional government in Islam states. However, by stating caliph’s name in discourse and on Money, it was reported that he was officially-known. So the ruler not only utilizes the caliph’s personal influence and authority, but also provides the support of Islam world in the challenges against non-muslims.
