This article assesses the gender mainstreaming in newspapers according to five research questions. The main findings of the research were obtained from news related to religion published in Hürriyet, Posta, Sözcü, Sabah, Habertürk and Milliyet newspapers between 05 May 2015 and 05 August 2015. The most frequently used concepts and terms used in gender mainstream news titles are "I??D", "live bomb", "sheet", "headscarf", "jihad", "rebellion", "prohibition", "execution", "martyr" "Punishment", "religious terrorist", "reaction" and "homosexual". It has been determined that the news about women in the gender context published in the newspapers is based on the themes of "terror", "social control", "discrimination", "politics", "violence", "worship" and "homosexuality". In the news we have seen that they are done through women's actors and their bases of opposition and exclusion. In the news, it has been found that the meaning and ideology of the women are transferred with the "separation" method in which the social position of the woman is different with the different phenomena
