The subject of this work will be the study of sin and sinfulness from the perspective of M?tur?d?. He developed a reasonable interpretation which puts the human to the center as contrary to the sects that define the great sinners between profanity and faith. The intellectual foundation he followed in his view shows itself in two axes. First, the God (SWT), who creates humanity with the potential of sin, and renders this situation is the source of divine wisdom and mercy; the second is the spiritual content and religious situation of man in terms of freedom-sinfulness-caliphate. He reveals his views on the axis of questions like what is a sin, what is the psychology of the sinner versus God, and what is his religious situation. In his view, there are a divine content and comprehensiveness of mercy on the one hand, and on the other hand, there is the spiritual content of a man as a whole with his sorrow and glory. The multidimensional point of view that M?tur?d? contributes to this delicate issue offers considerable openings and possibilities for the relation of man with his Creator. From this point of view, the approach of M?tur?d? still preserves its contemporary value for today's people.
