The Battle of Hadrianapolis has an important place in Roman history, like many wars in history. However, this war is also different from other wars. The big battles that usually happened in history are of two sides; It also concerns the neighbors of the two sides with a more optimistic view. However, the Hadrianapolis war led to the formation of a whole geography, as well as a radical transformation of the army systems used by the Romans for about seven centuries. It is at least as important to understand the conditions of this important war as it is to understand this war. Examining the conditions before the Battle of Hadrianapolis will mean examining both gothic society and the Roman Empire. We will overcome this in terms of gut society, and they will be the reflections of the Roman Empire that they lived in these new lands. In terms of empire, the pre-war period of Hadrianapolis is a period full of uncertainties. On the one hand news from the north, on the other hand, both western and eastern wars are engaged in wars. As a result of these wars the empire has almost reached the point of extinction; At the same time they suffered a significant loss of population. Many fertile land is idle because it is not human power. In addition, the new developments in the north and the developments they have never seen before will bring with them the great migration that will be experienced. The Empire, on the other hand, will be almost unprepared for these big events and will lead to developments that can not escape from the events. The main purpose of our writings will be to touch upon the causes of this war. In addition, the "willow" war that took place before the Battle of Hadrianapolis will be examined and its results evaluated. However, in order to understand these conclusions we need to establish the previous conditions and not to mention the developments leading to this war.
