The poets in classical Turkish poetry used some mazmun and motifs while expressing their feelings of love. One of these motifs is " ?em (light, candle) used as a lighting device" and a "pervane (a winged insect)" that revolves around the ?em and burns itself in the fire. The motif of ?em and pervane were used in loves by the poets who inspried this reality. This use has been dealt with in various dreams and in these dreams the ?em and the pervane have been subject to various simulations. In this study, it is emphasized that in classical Turkish poetry, the functional and formal characteristics of ?em, the use of ?em in the context of beloved and lovers, traditions about the ?em with related to the pervane’s lover and some other concepts
