The shamans with their supernatural power were distinguished from the ordinary people and respected with fear. The woman shamanism institute was formed as a result of the development of hunting economic system in the Paleolithic age. The women shamans are believed to be more dominant at the beginning of the primitive society that had a consuming economy, merely based on gathering and hunting. Following the development of social class formations as well as the establishment of property ownership, it is believed that this did not damage the social equality between male and female. During this period women were believed to be the key person both in the internal and external matters of the family and this factor was lead by the shamanism institute. Afterwards the social status of women got weaker although the social status of the women shamans always remained stronger. The newly appeared gender phenomenon focused not only on the social inequality between the men and women, but also the intersociety relations. It means that the role of the woman in the society can be different at different times. The article also focused in these issues.
