Turkish, having their unique culture and accumulation, took their place in history with cloth?ng special to themselves. Clothing samples carry deep symbolic features of the period they belong to. Many answers can be f?nd in the cloth?ngs related to the living styles, belief, tradition and the geography. Sinop city is one of the cities where the cultural collection is highly rich and it is mainly because of it location near the sea. This makes it a stop-by for many cultures. Loincloth, which is especially identified with Blacksea region, and ucetek has been wore throughout many centuries at many counties and surrounding villages. The uceteks used ?n the concept of the study are the ones wore at the region and it is still an ongoing tradition to wear these loinclothes. Loincloths whihc have a very important place in the traditional wearing are the subject of this study and they are examined. Especially wore at the Otttoman period uceteks are one of the most important parts of women wearing. The six uceteks examined ?n the study are present at the Sinop Archeology museum basement. There were thirty-five similar cloths and among them siz different uceteks were selected and recorded. The uceteks are examined in terms of size, cutting, sewing and decoration. They are compared and controlled with the other inventory recordings.
