Music and musical products are the result of a reflection of the socio-cultural and all values of the life forms of the people in a sense. In this context, individuals have shown the ability to express themselves and their culture both individually and collectively from the past to the present, regardless of what period they lived. Our country, which has different characteristics and beauties in terms of culture, art and music, has very rich features in terms of accumulation. These features have been reached and conveyed to individuals in all provinces of our country with a unique expression method. Van province, located in the eastern Anatolia region of our country, eight thousand years of history with many civilizations cradle, hosting different cultures, nature, rich social and cultural structure and music culture is a very important settlement. In the cultural accumulation and musical culture of the province of Van, sitting-entertained nights take an important place. In this context, the purpose of this study is to understand the van residence-Funti nights tradition, which is about to disappear within this important culture of Van province, and to act as a tool for the preservation, transmission and dissemination of this tradition from generation to generation. The research is intended as a qualitative study. In the first phase of the research, literature about the subject was scanned. Later, the source people related to Van sitting-Funti nights were interviewed and information and records about this cultural activity were taken. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the van residence-entertainment nights constitute an important place in the cultural structure of the province, that this traditional culture is very important in the context of both its survival and its transfer to the next generation, and that the culture of our country, which has rich cultural differences, is of great importance in terms of.
