In 18th century in Russia, translations were done primerily from French, German, English or ancient literature. In addition to this, a small number of translations were done from Spanish. These translations are mainly translated from German, French and Latin. In other words, an intermediary languages were used for translation to Russian. In 18th century’s Russia, novels and stories were mainly translated from Spanish. Besides of novels, the works of Spanish humanists were among the important translations but theatre’s plays were translated less than genres. In 18th century’s Russia, Spanish translators were important representatives of Russain cultural life. Thanks to those translations, Russian reader had the opportunity to meet the outstanding authors of Spanish literature. In this work, the aim is to get to know those translators and identify their work.
