In recent years, the world has quite a strong position in the insurance market. Turkey, especially in this market, a young population and rapidly growing economy has a significant potential. Potential for growth in the coming years, the Turkish market will attract foreign investors in the insurance sector. Insurance is very important for the growth of the industry to be sustainable. The country's economy and the insurance industry the benefits to society in an understandable manner to the community organizations that accurate and it is transferred to the society increasing the awareness of insurance are required. In this study the conceptual frameworks of the Takaful and other insurance systems are explained and the similarities and differences of implementations of these systems are demonstrated. Then structures and working principles of the Takaful system are explained and implementations around the world and in Turkey are examined in the light of current data. According to qualitative and quantitative data, it is shown that there are various problems of Takaful practices in Turkey which limits the growth of the Takaful market despite its high growth potential. For this reason Takaful implementations do not meet the needs of the Turkish market.
