Anatolian Seljuks have put their own stamps by building up a large mosque and three tombs in Up Develi. The tomb of Seyyid-i Serif and Hizir Ilyas subjected to this study are building has similar domed structure as well as cubic structure within these buildings, In terms of plan features and covering systems, both works builted in last years of Anatolian Seljuks, are quite different properties from buildings widely considered cupola, has polygonal body, pyramidal or conical cone widely seen in Anatolian Seljuks’ tombs. there aren’t also crypt in both building which remind mosque rather than tomb structure. Although in terms of plan features they carry different characteristics, both buildings keep the tradition of the Seljuk with inherit decorations.
The aim of this study is to provide a scientific assessments in terms of art history by taking into account the widely discussed architecture and ornament features of two buildings were evaluated in terms of solely architecturel in former studies.
