Healthcare systems are pivotal institutions that reflect and shape societal values, norms, and inequalities. This review article delves into the intricate relationship between healthcare systems and society from a sociological perspective. It explores how social factors such as class, race, gender, and globalization influence access to healthcare, healthcare delivery, and health outcomes. Drawing on theoretical frameworks and empirical research, this article uncovers the complexities of healthcare systems, shedding light on the social, cultural, and economic forces that shape health disparities and healthcare experiences.
