Educational plays are the planned intentional plays providing to reach at the acquisitions determined at the process of teaching – learning in which the individual participates voluntarily and pleasuerly. Through these plays accepted that it supports the physical, linguistic, social and emotional development, the opinion that the students are taught their educational topics with less difficulty and easily has been reached at. When there is play while teaching, it is a reality that students are interested in the materials to be learned more. The student who lives the life personally in the environment of play also develops the skills of problem solving, critical thinking and establishing empathy. During play, the student who realizes himself / herself can develop obeying the rules and respecting the other ones again in this process. The basic question of this study consists of “Can educational plays be used at religious teaching?”. Depending on this main problem; answers are seeked for the questions “Which educational plays be used in teaching religion? How can the educational plays be used at religious teaching?”. In the study, primarily the literature is searched and determined concerning the plays. The determined plays have been classified under the titles of memorizing, writing, discussion, drama, playing role and plays of communication. Then, an example has been given for each application of these plays at teaching religion by descriptive way.
