Since the existence of mankind, human beings have tried to imitate first the nature and then everything that he has seen and perceived. The human being has preferred the path of imitation by using his beliefs, emotions and the offers of the nature in this process. He has chosen the clay which is the closest material to him and he has transformed the clay to the ceramic objects by bringing the clay with the sun and the fire. Thus, the ceramic is both a material using in expressing the feelings and when it combines with the technical competence an imitation tool that has strong plastic shaping power. This research is based on classifying and evaluating using possibilities of the ceramic material as an imitation medium by means of the examples. In this respect, historical and contemporary ceramic examples were discussed in the framework of the research.
