The crusades are one of the most expensive adventures in medieval history. Christians’ departing from various places of Europe in crowds to the Holy Land, required extremely comprehensive preparations and a highly big finance. Meanwhile crusaders’ success and crusades’ financing are continously commentated together. The financing in question being a burden to almost all Christians dwelling in Europe, is tried to be provisioned in various forms. However they sometimes provided their needs through illegal ways. And sometimes the efforts to supply the finance for crusades and their greeds to attain personal riches coalesced with each other.
