WOMAN IN TERMS OF PERCEPTION IN KUTADGU BILIG AND MARİFETNÂME

Women have had different roles in the society according to perception and viewpoints shaped with the area lived, owned beliefs and also effect of the intermingled foreign cultures in Turkish culture history. Written or oral products have taken place important historical documents to be taken information about the matter. Kutadgu Bilig by Yusuf Has Hacib (XI cc) which has been one of the first precedents of Turkish literature in Islamic period and also Marifetname by Erzurumlu Ibrahim Hakk? (XVIII cc) in which was Classical Turkish literature period are source-books that we are able to take into consideration social roles of ''woman'' in those periods and perceptions towards that. This research has been prepared about perceptions and term of ''woman'' in the mentioned works. In woks, perceptions about ''woman'' has been studied because of being in different periods, the roles of women have been taken into consideration, two works have been evaluated comparatively them. Perception towards woman in the mentioned roles has not been found many differences otherwise it has been determined to display similarity in many ways in result of researches in both works.
