Emily Nasrallah is one of the unique authors of Lebanese literature with her themes and narration techniques in her works. In Nasrallah's stories, women's position in society, keeping themselves in the background in the traditional society and family life, passivation of their roles and acceptance of it, their dreams, freedom, marriage and career journies could be taken under the heading of women theme. All these processes are handled in female characters who can or can not emerge out of their conoos or who prefer to stay in their conoos. When Nasrullah's stories are examined, we witness the struggles of women who always feel the influence of the traditional family and society, who can not completely erase the past. Criticizing the view of women in Eastern societies, the writer has taken great care to deal with the problems experienced in these traditional societies.
