One of the individual branches of folk literature involves bards telling poems improvisationally in company with or without saz. In impromptu poems told in previous centuries and today, many word patterns have been told some of which are similar. The reason for using word patterns is to convey the intended notion shortly and concisely. In our notification we will try to put forward the word patterns we have identified in poems that Anatolian area Turkish bards have told mostly about the developments before and after 1974. The examples of word patterns in the Cyprus themed poems of the bards who live in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey will be analysed from various angles. We will evaluate the word patterns under eight headings (stereotype words, stereotype verses, repititions, idioms, proverbs, epigrams, similes, addressings).
